FAREWELL CARD FOR A CHUM

Hello Peeps,
Here is a card I made for a friend who has emigrated to Australia :-)
I used a Kangaroo cutting file from LITTLE SCRAPS OF HEAVEN - only using the big Kangaroo without the Chrimbo hat from the set called ' AN OUTBACK CHRISTMAS ' (sorry - I can't find this in the Shop to hive you a link)

The backing paper is recycled from the inside of an envelope and the map is from the back of my 2016 Diary :-)
I cut out the Kanga and inked her edges. Added googly eyes and a little Good Luck tag in her pouch.

Thanks for dropping in and I hope you have a great day xxx

MORE COMMISSIONS

Here are a couple more recent card commissions.
The first two are for a couple with birthdays a day after each other.  The lady is into doing embroidered pictures of these 1920's ladies just at the moment, and the guy has a total of 3 sheds in his garden now and likes to make things. :-D

This one uses a clipart lady and the background I used is a new set I bought from  FOXPAWPRINTING -

Eiffel Tower Ephemera Vintage & Retro

and I cut out an Art Deco style centrepiece.
The card that looks brown is actually a Bronze Miri Card but it doesn't photograph well - it gave me too much flash bounce back :-(

This one was made using bits and pieces from the scraps box. I fussy cut some clipart tools and added covered them with sticky backed plastic to give them shine. I used a Die'sire embossing folder for the background called ' Gun Metal'.

The same couple asked me for a science themed card for their 11 year old Grandson, so I made this one using images from  the ' Mad Scientist ' set by SMEARED INK (no longer trading) and a clipart background. The image was coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and them fussy cut to make him 3D. I put some glaze on his glasses, and used the sticky back plastic on the laboratory beakers so they look like glass.

Thanks for stopping to say hello today :-) xx

A CARD COMMISSION

Here I am with my second piece today - a recent commission.
This is for a wedding celebration - the wedding having already taken place but there will be a party here to celebrate for the couple.

I used multiple cutting files and an embossing folder. I stuck gems onto the cross sections for added glitz. I made some assorted flowers and a stick pin, and heat embossed Congratulations using a rubber stamp.

I've got some other bits to show you later too :-)

JAWSOME BIRTHDAY

Good Morning Saturday Peeps,
I hope that you are all well and maybe looking forward to a bit of crafting this weekend ?

Here is the first of a couple of recent card commissions.
This first one is for a friend. I usually do him something to do with magic, but this year I just got this great Shark cutting file from BIRD's CARDS so I decided to use him as it made me chuckle.

I hand cut the pieces - only because I was too lazy to set up my cutting machine LoL

This is a great set and there is even a video on BIRD's Blog that shows you how to put this all together :-)  You can find it HERE.
I used the Tag file for the front and the Pop-Out Shark for inside, and added some googly eyes.

Thank you for popping in today xxx

A LITTLE BIT OF HALLOWEEN FUN

Hello Peeps,
I am hiding down in my basement studio away from the heat !!!!
I played with a cute kitty Halloween image today from IMAGINE THAT.
I know I cheated a bit by using the pre-coloured image, but I did work it up a bit by fussy cutting 5 layers to 3D all the pieces, so at least I don't feel so guilty LoL :-D

The backing papers were a freebie from Sissix and the  IT image is called  " Pumpkin Kitties".

Ooooh - I just saw their latest posting for the Flamingos and couldn't resist buying this Bundle. :-D The Flamingos are stinkin' cute and the backing papers are glorious !!!!!... and only #9  :-)

ATC SWAP

Hello Monday Peeps,

I am here with an ATC and it's mini envelope that I have made for the Swap over at Leigh SB Fan Club on Facebook.
Leigh has some gorgeous, unusual digis over in her Shop and I have used  " TANGLED VAMPIRE CAT "  - a gorgeous Egyptian style cat, which I think is based on Leigh's wonderful cat NEO  :-D
I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir markers and then fussy cut him and added him on the background with 3D foamies. The background is a piece of Egyptian hieroglyphic backing paper.
I also made a little protective sleeve/envelope for it as I shall be posting it off to my swap partner.

Now I have to rely on silly DonkeyMail to get it there safely !!  We are still having problems with our Post Office - only 1 girl working at the counter and I queued 2 hours to post this baby !!!!  At least I got a seat and it is air conditioned :-)  Nowadays, you have to allot a wasted couple of hours when planning to post anything :-(

EXPLORING THE DARK SIDE

Hello Peeps,
Well I am ashamed of my sadly neglected little Blog :-( It seems that this summer is severely distracting me from posting anything here, so I must take a severe lashing and remedy this.
I have some card commissions that I will post soonest and get back to entering some Challenges :-)

Today I am exploring my darker side over at The Three Muses. Their Challenge is Gothic and calls for digital work.

This one is a tribute piece to Edgar Allan POE.

I also messed around with a picture of Marilyn Munro and made her into a vampire. :-) Not sure if that would be classed as Gothic, but I had fun making this piece.

That's me for the moment - I am now going to sort out my latest card photos and then come back to play :-)
Thanks for popping in xxxxx

RESTORING THE PARTHENON

Hi Folks,
I hope you are ready to enjoy your weekend :-)
I have spent the last couple of days restoring the Parthenon LoL  Well, it's one that I made a few years ago now for a friend who had an outdoor train set. He had a space with a small hill that I thought would be perfect, so I made this for him as a surprise. :-) When he moved back to the UK he gave it to friends, who now have it in their garden. It was looking a little sad so it came home for some 'tarting up'. :-D  It's just waiting now for a couple of coats of yacht varnish and it's all set to go.

It stands about 12 inches tall and is made with a combo of wood and plastic tubes covered in plaster :-)

Thanks for dropping in.
Happy crafting xxxx

SMEARED INK REUNION BLOG HOP

Hi everyone and thank you for popping in.
Here I am with my contribution to the SMEARED INK Re-union BLOG HOP.
I miss having fun with the Girls back in the days. We got up to some larks and the creativity was really free and easy. We could do anything we wanted and it sometimes got really, really Dark  LoL  Aaaah - we had so much fun xxx

I have made a 'semi Dark' paper bag album using all Smeared Ink images and papers, and some odd snippets from my stash and some die cutters.
I stitched all the pieces on my sewing machine.
I've only made 2 of these babies before but this one is a bit smaller cuz they take foreverrrrrr :-D

The cover is made from a paper bag I got some shoes in. All the inside base is either red or black card and all the printed papers are from SMEARED INK along with the images. Flowers and bead trims are from my local Greek shops :-) It all ties closed with a thick black shoelace.
I am going to make lots of extra tags and journal cards to fill all the pockets :-)
I used the old SMEARED INK logo for the front of my album.

Here is the rest of the Blog List for you to carry on hopping. Your next stop is the fabulous KELLI.

I CAN FLY.... MAYBE !!

Hello Peeps,
Here I am with my creation for the "I CAN FLY" challenge over at LOST COAST DESIGNS. I have used my new PARTY DOGS set of rubber stamps that I won as a prize.
The background is a map page from an old diary, and I used the "Large Perspective Background" rubber stamp on top of it.
I stamped the Party Dog onto brown card using black archival ink and the coloured him with Spectrum Noir markers.
I used a butterfly stamp to make the wings, stamping onto some Mulberry paper and then cut them out. The dog is popped up with 3d pads.
