YACK !!! - CHRISTMAS :-(

Hello Peeps,
I hope you are looking forward to your crafting weekend. ?
I haven't been down more than a couple of times in my room this week, but - seeing as I totally walked the legs off the Dog this morning - I thought I would give him a rest down here out of the heat. :-)

Not much Mojo about this end but I decided to have a play with my Spectrum Noir pens and pencils.
I wanted to play along for RUDOLPH DAY, so I went to the Chrimbo box and I found a plastic bag with loads of little snippets in and some printed out images ready for colouring.
On a friend's Blog the other day, she had pictures of Hedgies in her garden that made me smile so this little guy is just the thing :-D  If you want to see them , then go visit Di.... HERE
I coloured up this little " Santa Hedgie " from SPYDER.

The card is a piece of old shoebox and I have tons of snippets of white card lying around, so I used a 'Cuttlebug'  Christmas Tree embossing folder on some of that.  I smurged a bit of green ink pad onto the 'inny' side of the embossing folder and then stuck it through the machine. This would, in fact, be the backside of the finished embossed piece doing it this way, but I liked just the hint of green that it gave me and doing it the other way smurged ink around the image that I didn't want :-D

I found some teeny pieces of an old paper with sentiments on it and used those up too. :-)

Well - there you have it anyways - not really feelin' it this week, and life is definitely 'bleh'  just now  :-(

Thanks for dropping in and I'll catch you All later xxx

HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE DT CREATION

Hi there spooky Peeps,
I am rushing to get this one up and published too. !!!
This is my DT piece for the second half of our current Challenge over at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE - "The Nights Are Drawing In". Halloween is quickly creeping up on us, so we are all getting prepared for the fun and spooks :-D

I have converted an old box into a sort of window.
I used a stencil and some home made paste to do the brickwork and the coloured it with acrylic paints.
The ivy is done with my "Ivy Corner" digital image from IKEsART.
I added a glow in the dark plastic skellie down the bottom to look like he was creeping out of the crypt.

The crypt portcullis was cut using a Silhouette SVG file.
On the top there is a gargoyle made with a DELICIOUS DOODLES image - "GROTESQUE GARGOYLE" and I printed him several times and fussy cut him to make him 3D. When I had finished layering him up, I dipped him in my Melting Pot. :-)
Right inside at the back I have used my "Castle Room" digital image from IKEsART.
I did put a candle in there but for the life of me, I couldn't get the darn photograph to come out properly :-(

Well, I have to rush now, but I hope you will come over and see what my fellow Minions have made to show you, and maybe even play along with us. :-D

See you at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE. :-) You know how it works - share your creations on this month's theme, but keep it macabre and creepy, not light and sweet.xxx

SHEESH - WHAT A NIGHTMARE !!!

Hi Peeps,
I am struggling to get things done quickly as we have been having power outages here due to mega electrical storms  and RAIN !!!! .......... our first since February ! :-) Apparently, this is supposed to continue until Friday !!! :-(

Here is my piece for ONE STITCH AT A TIME  this Fortnight  CHALLENGE #246, and our Theme is Anything Goes with LEAVES. I got to work with a sweet little image called "Dog in a Tiger Costume" by SENTIMENTAL SUSAN over at STITCHYBEAR STAMPS.

I printed him out 6 times because I wanted to decoupage him and then I coloured him with Promarkers and have made a tag. My background paper is called 'AUTUMN LEAVES' which is from SPYDER's CORNER (or it WAS - I have had this for years now and am not sure it's still in her Shop)
I edged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and used a leaf die from Marianne Creatables.

The Sponsor for this Fortnight's  Challenge is StitchyBear Digi Outlet and here is the  September image and papers prize pack.

OK - so you have 2 weeks to come along and play and I hope you will pop over to have a looksee at what my Teamies have made for your delight :-)

Rushing off now...... byeeee xxxx

MY FIRST PIECE ON SCRIBBLES DESIGN TEAM :-)

Hi Peeps,

Here I am with my first creation for SCRIBBLES DESIGN TEAM... YaY !!!

Our Challenge #33 this month has the theme of "GOOD LUCK".
For many, September is a time of new beginnings.   Many families have children headed back to grade school.  Others have grown children en route to college or university.  Then there are those who may be starting their first full time job or just moving into their very first apartment.  These are all great reasons for wishing someone good luck.  You may have another reason to share words of good fortune with another.  Whatever the occasion, this month we want to see projects wishing someone you know good luck.  Everyone could use wishes for a little good fortune now and then!

My card is made using MR WOOL 3 and ZIPPER QUOTE, both from SCRIBBLES DESIGNS
I think if anyone is going for an interview then that piece of advice is very important, n'est-ce pas ???!!!

For my background - I cut a Good Luck stencil using a Silhouette svg file and then used two different colours of green Cats Eye inks to daub through the stencil.
I  printed Mr Wool  4 times  and coloured him with Promarkers and . Then I fussy cut him and added foamies to make him 3D.

I put the Zipper sentiment on the Inside :-)

So - you have until 15th October to play along with us, but I will be back again with a new creation to show you at the Midway Reminder posting :-D

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you will come along and play with us. There are plenty of FREEBIES from Sandy to use, if you browse through SCRIBBLES DESIGNS.

FROM THE HEART

Here I am with my piece for the Stamp of the Month Challenge at FROM THE HEART STAMPS.
This month we got "Pumpkin Patch" and I have coloured her up with Spectrum Noir markers. I had awful trouble colouring the face on this one - I don't know why. Maybe it's because the little mouth and nose are very small and I couldn't work out where my cheeks should go !!! LoL

I used a SILHOUETTE Svg pattern to cut a Shutter card and all the papers are FREEBIES  from MEINLILAPARK. Then edged everything with green and black Archival ink.

I think she looks jolly cute and can't wait to see what we get for next month :-)

I used:

Spectrum Noir Markers; OR1, OR2, OR3, EB4, EB6, FS5, FS7, FS9, LG3, LG5, DG3, CR5

STILL USING MY FREEBIES :-D

Good morning Peeps,
Here I am with another of the FREEBIES I have been snagging recently.
This one is from IMAGINE THAT  - great digis by Kris  - and you know what I am like with Kitties. :-D
This one is called "CATS IN SUNFLOWERS" and I coloured up to look like a couple of my (many) kitties using Promarkers.

I placed then on a snippet of parchment and added a tiny sentiment. Not much else there as I didn't want to detract for the lovely image. :-)

The Ginger/white one looks just like a kitty I am (permanently) fostering for a friend who had to return to the UK..... His name is Lucky Louis :-D

Colours I used:
Frosted Jade, Oasis, Lime Green, Soft Green, Budding Rose, Dusky Rose, Cool Grey 3 + 4, Hearthstone, Black, Morning Mist, Warm Grey 1, Daffodil Bloom, Pineapple Crush, Tulip Yellow, Canary, Sleigh Bell, April Shower, Cool Aqua, Cornflower.

HOW EXCITING FOR ME WEEE HEEEE :-D

It's all exciting stuff for me at this end - I tried out for the Design Team over at SCRIBBLES DESIGNS and I got in, along with KELI,  PEGGIE SUE  and ATIYA  :-D  YaY !!!

Sandy's 'Scribbles' always make me giggle, and I have used them loads of times before on my cards, so I was delighted to be accepted.

The current Challenge over at SCRIBBLES is #32 - BOYS WILL BE BOYS and you've got another couple of days to enter that one :-)

Our first creations as the new DT go out on 15th SEPTEMBER, so I hope you will come over and have a look :-D

SOMETHING FOR THE MEN :-)

Me again,
I have a friend who we lovingly nicknames "2 Sheds" as he has built himself a couple of sheds in his Greek garden and I think, is currently contemplating his third !! He will, however, always remain as "2 Sheds" and his wife is "Mrs Sheds" LoL
Every year for his Birthday, I make him a card and also his wife and my friends order one, so here is the selection he got this year LoL

This first one I made for Mrs Sheds to give him - she always likes a sexy lady on the card for him.
I used a pretty shed picture that I printed 3 times and decoupaged the elements and the door.
The image is 'MISS FORTUNE' from KENNY K and I coloured her with Promarkers, then fussy cut her and stuck her in there with foamies.

This is the inside - using an image of Stella called 'Expiration Date' from BUGABOO (minus her veil). He probably wouldn't be lucky enough to find Miss Fortune in his shed, but I guess he can live in hop :-D  hahahaha

This 2nd one is what I made for my friends to give him....

This one uses 'Gus - Flashlight' also from BUGABOO and I placed him up front of an assortment of sheds. All coloured with Promarkers and added some teeny googly eyes :-).
It also has a secret message flap :-)

This last one was from me and has 'BEACH BUM BOB' from DR DIGI on there. He was coloured with Promarkers (and looks a wee bit like Mr 2 Sheds by the way  hee hee).
I made a framed mirror using a bit of Mirri card so that when he held it up he could see himself in there and made a LOOK sign with some googly eyes on it. :-)

 and here's the inside...................

Hahahaha - I think he frightened the cat LoL
Puss is from DUSTIN PIKE at DOODLE DRAGON STUDIOS, and is called 'SCAREDY CAT'.

Oki Doki - I am just sorting out my other recent creations ready to Blog. :-) Thanks for dropping in and I hope you have a fabulous crafting weekend :-D xx

**** - Oh yeah - I forgot to say..... Apparently his daughter sent him a card - made by a card company - from the UK which had a SHED on it and it said "What happens in the shed, stays in the shed"  hahahaha - I have never seen a Shed card from anywhere but she found one !! LoL ***

MESSING WITH STAMPS

Hi again,
This is my first creation to show you today.

I had a bunch of stamps sent me by a friend and one of them is this 'Tea House' one from De-STEMPELWINKEL, which I believe comes from the FS26 ORIENTAL DREAMS plate.
I decided to try and make some little faux ceramic tiles with it as a card topper.
First I stamped it onto card using blue Archival ink and then I mounted the whole thing onto thicker card. When it was dry I cut it up into tile pieces. I inked some of the edges to give a kind of 'grout' shadow and them stuck them all onto some more thin card.
I tried some one step crackle glaze on top of my little tiles, but it didn't do exactly what I thought it was going to. !! Hey-ho.  Not a particularly good crackle effect :-(
Then I mounted them onto some shiny blue card and added some little Chinese-alike style flowers down the side.
I think I overdid the shading a wee bit !!! :-(

I've not added a sentiment as I shall save this for maybe a card for a guy at some point.

I think the image works quite well for this effect but it did cut up the lady a bit too much ! Maybe next time I will adjust the size of the little tiles to make it not so 'cut up' :-D

HAPPY, HAPPY MAIL

Well Hello Peeps and happy weekend to you All.
This morning I picked up some Happy Mail all the way from my little Chum in Canada - KT FIT KITTY. :-D
That embossed kitty paw background is fabulous too eh ?!!

She made me this adorable card and sent me some really cool Halloween cut-outs that are just perfect. I might be hoarding the kitties though  hahahaha :-D

Kitty used some fabbo little cat stickers on the envelope too - prizing them off as we speak hee hee :-D

THANK YOU very much KITTY xx

I'll be back with some creations a bit later :-D

I have coloured her up with Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens and made a Christmas card using a snippet of paper left over from last year, and my new Marianne  Craftables - Basic Shapes die cutter.

GOING THROUGH THE BITS BOX :-)

Me again - on this hot, sweaty Sunday I am hiding downstairs. I love the sun but I am really not keen on scorching hot winds that go with it and that's what it's like today :-(  Prew !!!

Well, apart from going through my collection of Freebies this month, I am also wading through a box of ' to use up Images' and came across a little stamped bird from STAMPIN' UP. I think I was trying him out on different coloured card so I had one to use up.

I had a snippet of rainbow card left over so I started with that. This is a Topper/ATC sized piece.
I received some cute little circle doilies with a Prize and I put one of those next. I coloured the bird with Promarkers and used some die cut letters to spell JOY. There is a teeny stamp for his legs but I put it down on the desk and then couldn't find it so I drew them on with a marker !!!
I used my Nail Art white pen to draw some tiny dots round the lettering to higlight.

The stamp set is called 'The Language of Friendship' by STAMPIN' UP.

I shall save this little guy for an ATC Swap or make him into a Topper for a card - I haven't decided yet. :-)

Thank you for dropping in.

It doesn't seem like the last time I was doing this, my Daughter and her family were coming out... and now they've been gone a week :-(  :-(

AnyHoo - our theme for this Challenge is ANYTHING GOES with GRATITUDE and I got to work with REECE's SCRAP PIECES digi image called " I Love My MoM".

My card uses background paper and an embossing folder which was a Freebie from Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine. I embossed and the used pink and green chalk to highlight the roses. Then I fussy cut it out and stuck it on the backing paper. I edged the whole thing with Whispers ink in Pine Creen.
I mounted the image with foamies for extra pop. I made a little Sentiment panel too.

I hope you find time to pop over to OSAAT #245 and have a look at what my Teamies made and also join in with us this Fortnight.

AND NOW...............THE CREEPY SCHTUFF :-D

Well Peeps,

I guess you have been wondering where my "Creep" had gone ????
No ?!! Have you been lulled into cutesyland by my recent samples of sweet cuddly-ness  and hath forgotten that 'creep' is what I am known for ???!!
October and the Halloween season is fast approaching and my gore is itching to break free :-D Bwaahahaha
I shall tempt thee with a little piece today that is pretty 'middling' as far as blog/gore and snot goes :-D.... I have altered a piece of a giant wooden kiddy puzzle that was kindly sent to me by a good chum. :-)
Beware - there is a little blood spatter ..........................

I covered the piece in a thick layer of gesso and then pressed some surgical gauze into it before it dried. Then I blobbed on some Combi Pearl liquid for sheen (can't see it in photos I'm afraid).
I made some paper roses from an old book and inked with inks and found this weeny 'ghost' cabuchon/sticker doodad in my stash.

The ghost face is 'CbrGhost set 1' from the Halloween Mix Set by MOUNTAIN GOAT DESIGNS. It was one of those multi artist sites giving free stuff, but looks like it no longer exists.  :-(

I printed her out and then wet her a bit and pressed her into the gauze and added more gesso around the edges.

Then I dropped some red ink from an eye dropper on whilst everything was still wet.
The leaves are scrap pieces of baking parchment backing from using a very fine die :-D

I hope you haven't been given too much of the 'queazies' ??!!! LoL

TRYING SOMETHING NEW

Good morning All and Happy Weekend,

In my Blog browsing this morning I found a new Challenge over at SPEEDY FOX & FRIENDS showing a Tutorial on stamping through stencils and fancied giving this a go :-D
I am a bit limited on stencils but I had a brick mask by PRIMA MARKETING so I tried that first.
I needed to make a Get Well card for a guy, so I went with blues on my first attempt........

I used some ColourBox cat's eye pigment inks in two shades of blue to put colour through the mask and then I stamped up in black  and orange using one of the flowers from the 'Flower Shop' rubber stamp set by STAMPIN' UP. I added the little Speedy Fox stamp on there too after I took the mask off. :-)
Then I used a Dimension Fourth cling stamp onto the side of the card and fussy cut around and into it and mounted the whole thing on some pale blue card.
The little sentiment was hand cut and stamped using a little set I have from PAPERTREY ink.

My second go was using a lovely stencil, made by Felicia Tortorici which I received in a Swap we did a while back to make playing card stencils over at YOUR PAPER PANTRY. These are just the right size for use on ATCs. :-)

For this one I used Archival inks in yellow and green for the background and then used the Horse from It's a Cowboy Thing stamp set by MFP STAMP SHOP and stamped him several times across the stencil in black.
I had a little horseshoe that was silver which I coloured with a gold pen and stamped Good Luck with my tiny Studio G alphabet set from Hampton Art.
I edged the ATC with some green Archival ink.

I quite enjoyed playing with this technique but I would need some more stencils to really get into it :-D

I hope you have a great carfty weekend.
Thanks for dropping in.

COLOURING MORE FREEBIES

Here I am again with a couple more of my collected Freebies from the stash waiting for colour.
My First one is this week's Freebie from 2Cuteink and it's called 'PUMPKIN COOKIE'.
This was the Newsletter Freebie and I have coloured him up with Copics in a sort of pointillism fashion with yellow, light orange and dark orange.

Then I cut it out and mounted him on a rosette (Tim Holtz Alterations Die) made with 'Halloween Howlers #5' paper from Crafty Chaos (no longer trading), and then mounted that on some pale green card. I made a larger card using the #5 paper and a handmade sentiment to go with. Couple of bits of ribbon and Ta Da !!!

My second one today is using this week's FREEBIE from SPYDER's CORNER - he is called "CARROT TOP BUNNY" and will be available until next Tuesday-ish I think. SPYDER gives out a Freebie on Wednesdays. :-D
I have used him with "CARROTS THE BUNNY" and have coloured them with Spectrum Noir pens and then cut them out. I placed them on a Jillibean's double sided scrapbook paper  paper called Fresh Veg Soup and then mounted that onto pale green card with an inked edge.
I stamped a sentiment using Papertreyink, Urban Design Communique Curves Sentiments cling stamp inked up with a Marvy Brush Marker #64 Plum. I also added a sticker cabichon from a 'Summer' set which was sent to me by a Chum. I don't know who makes these :-(

So there we are :-) I've had quite a busy afternoon.
Remember to snag your Carrot Top Bunny before it's too late and don't forget to go back and show SPYDER what you've made. :-D

I'm off now then to dig through my huge stash of freebie images to see what I will colour next :-D
Thanks for popping in :-)
