Happy Friday Peeps and welcome to Challenge 16 at DELICIOUS DOODLES... Textures. This time I have used "Swimming With Dolphins" from Delicious Doodles. I used the inside of a cake box - shiny silver - at the back and covered it with bubblewrap. Then I cut a piece of green card and put it through an embossing folder and cut a swirly edge too. I then layered on some gorgeous lacy stuff I received in a prize baggie. At the bottom is some white netting, some beads I coloured with a smidge of pink, and a real dried-out starfish.
I hope you will come over and show us your textures.. :-)
Hello Peeps, I have finished my little project for the Junk Funk Challenge over at SMEARED & SMUDGED FORUM. Our sponsor this month is DILLY BEANS, and our junk is Bottle Caps. !! Now I've always hated these little buggers 'cos I can never think of anything to do with them. I did have a browse on Pinterest and was still relatively uninspired, but I finally came up with something when my new Dies arrived yesterday :-) I have used Zombie Bunny from DB as Easter is coming. I coloured her digitally and then printed her 6 times. I have fussy cut the image and layered it up 5 layers to make it pop. I used a different eye from another DB image to make my 'flowers' :-D
Hello and Happy Wednesday, Today over at SIMPLY CREATE TOO - our theme is for Challenge 10 is Bunnies &/or Eggs... you choose. For my creation I have used a Bunny template from Joanne Barsy at Cardmaking Downloads and DPs are from the Chocolate Valentine Set from Digi Design Resort. I have followed a sketch by Seems A Little Sketchy - whom I have the pleasure of being Guest Designer for during April :-D
I hope you will come over and play as you must be getting your Easter cards ready now - so why not enter them in the Challenge ???!!
OMG - she just nags you into submission !!!! Here is my 3rd entry to March Rudolph Day over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE !!! No wonder her Chooks are so well behaved... they daren't do nothin' bad !!! Happy Monday Peeps and welcome to the creepy side again. Now firstly, I must tell you that HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE are having a DT call !!!! Oh, YES - they are looking for another Minion to join the dungeon. The call will be on until 20th April. For more information follow the link HERE. Now, onto this week .....HDH 126 Challenge at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE .... GRIMM's GRIMMEST. This week our sponsor is.............ME LoL Here is the Prize I will be giving away :-D
Your creation should be inspired by a Grimm's Fairy Tale... and hopefully on the darker side 'cos you know we don't do cutesy tales :-) . I got busy and drew up Red and some wolves for this Challenge. I have coloured her digitally and used one of my wolf digis a couple of times, and put them on a scary forest background I found on the Web.
I hope you will come over to HDH and play with us this week with your Grimm and grizzlies :-D xxxx Here is a look at my new digis which are available in my SHOP.
Happy Monday Everyone, This week at SMUDGY ANTICS our Challenge is 'Touch Me' - all about textures. I have got loads of stuff on here and this piece is A3. I started with plain white and then I sewed a piece of geometric wrapping paper onto it. Would you believe I have had this piece of paper for about 20 years or more ?!!!! It's very 70's but you can't see much of it now. I wanted to make my piece go for the Rock n Rolla Challenge over at Smeared & Smudged Forum too, so that's why I have gone 70's. The song is a modern up version of Nancy Sinatra singing "Shot Me Down". It's by Audio Bullys. Hence, the retro paper. The image with the curly hair and big eyes is a picture I did in 1979 ..... snort... that I then turned into a screen print. LoL I stitched a piece of string round it which I dipped the end in red ink. I think this is sorta like a touch fuse !! Not sure. I have a cloth label up on the right there and a tiny metal gun charm hanging on a chain. My skully in the top left was made using Terra's Toilet Paper Forms from Class 3 of the Mixed Media University at Smeared & Smudged Forum . It's the only piece I managed to get to look half decent. !!! He has a sprig of tin foil leaves. My Smeared Ink images are Glam Vamp, the big Skull in the middle, and the SI logo which I printed on top of the lyrics from the song. On top of that is a pattern on some acetate. I made a ribbon rose at the bottom held with giant safety pins. Well, I got plenty of textures and mediums on there but although this started out OK, I think it kinda lost it's way somewhere along the road and I'm not sure I like it now. It doesn't quite work for me. !!! :-(
Having said that - I really hope you will come over and play along with us this week. It's a lovely theme and I'm sure you can have great fun producing something slightly dark and Haloweeny ??!!!
Here's another one - I sewed this one myself :-D Why not pop over to STAMPING FOR PLEASURE and play along. You can read all about 'The Sunday Roast' too...... hilarious. It makes my day and I can't function without my 'Roast' fix :-D xxxx
Here is my entry No.1 for this month's RUDOLPH DAY over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE. I thought I had better get some done or else I would get an earhole bending from Sarn....... she's such a Nag !!!!!! LoL

Happy Friday Peeps :-D Well I am experimenting with ATCs today !!! Shock - horror... she's doing something new !!!!! Well, I wanted to join in with a new Challenge Blog - The ROCK N ROLLA CHALLENGE. This is the first one and I am rushing in at the last moment here. !! This is a new Bi-Weekly challenge and to play along, you listen to the posted song and then use it as inspiration for your stamped out art. You must use at least one line of the posted lyrics in your piece. The Blog gives you all the lyrics - so that's really cool. :-D This week is "Vermillion Part 2" from Slipknot. So, here's mine. I 'Gothed - up' my Autumn Nymph digi stamp and have used backing papers from Crafty Chaos Designs. She is holding a cross from the Glam Vamp set by Smeared Ink.
Here I am again today with a tag for TAG IT ON 112 over at DRAGON'S DREAM. The theme this time is 'The Thorn Birds' by Colleen McCullough... Ooooh - who doesn't remember the yummy Richard Chamberlain as Father Ralph de Bricassart ....Mmmmmmm......and the stunning Rachel Ward. ? Anyhoo - I have used a pikkie from the DVD that I borrowed from the Web. I added a pencil sketch of Ms Ward and some thorns. My Stamps are the twirly bit at the top and the poor little speared bird down the side. They came from a Christmas set of clear stamps but I don't know who made them :-( . Flowers from Petaloo.
Hello Darkly Peeps, This week at QUOTH THE RAVEN, the Challenge is to produce any type of project you like, but it has to follow the theme of the story by Edgar Allan POE - The Tell-Tale Heart. If you don't know it, you can read it HERE. Now, before I show you my project, I would like to Congratulate the Winner from Quest 5....... JACKI.....Congrats to you :-) xx
This week for my project I used one of my Digis I drew especially for this 'Old Man' and I coloured him digitally. I also made the Raven backing paper. Text is from the story by POE and there is a pikkie of the Master himself merged onto the side.
I hope you will come over and join us this week and be in with a chance to win a fabulous digi stamp from Smeared Ink :-) xxx
Hello Peeps, I told you the other day that I found this new Challenge Blog - CRAFTY BELLA LOCKWOOD - who is just the cutest darn kitty you've ever seen. Anyways, her slave - Sebastian - has given us another freebie to play with. This one is called 'Widget Baby'. I have 'paper pieced' him onto some spotty Dalmation paper, which was a freebie from AmandaK. I then printed him 4 times and fussy cut him so I could layer him up with silicone and make him 3D. I followed a sketch from My Favourite Things. Then I made him a little name tag from a coke can which I embossed him name onto from behind. Then I covered it with black felt pen and sanded some off to show his name. I think it worked OK :-)
Hi Everyone, There is a new Challenge Blog starting for the slightly darker side of crafting... it's called the SMUDGER CHALLENGE BLOG and there is a fabbo amount of Candy on offer at the moment, so please pop over and have a look, become a Follower and do a Bloggie and you could have a chance to win. Who doesn't like Candy eh ??!!!!
Happy Tuesday Everybody, Here is a little card I made for SPYDER'S BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE. It's an anything goes type challenge but you must use a Spyder image. I have chosen 'I picked this for Ewe' and have backed with two of Spyder's new papers - 'Pink + Blue Paint'. Layered up with my Nesties and ribbon from my stash. Sketch is from Sketch & Stash.
Hi again, I've had a fabbo day today working in the garden. The sun was glorious and I've been moving stuff around... with the help/hindrance of some of the Chooks !!!! :-D Everywhere I put things in - they dug them up LoL Anyhoo - now I am beginning to ache and my arthritic hands are pretty much screaming - so, swallow the old meds and a bit of gentle crafting this evening. I just done this little whimsy for you - to take the edge off the scary stuff :-D - I found this new Blog through Melonheadz 'cos they is friends. :-D The site is CRAFTING BELLA LOCKWOOD and her owner, Sebastian Lockwood, of course. ! Well, she is having her first Challenge and is giving away this cutsey little Frog Cupcake with which to enter :-) You know me - I couldn't do anything 'normal' with it, so have put it with GoofBug from by Nate Owens at Squigglefly and my backing papers are a Freebie pack called 'Lucky You' set from LeeLou.
Good Morning Peeps, This week for Macabre Monday HDH125 over at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE the Challenge is to use a favourite quote to inspire your project. I have made you a digital piece using my own images. I hope you will come over to HDH to see what my awesome Minion Sistahs are offering for your delight. :-) Well, for those of you of a delicate disposition ...... LOOK AWAY NOW !!!!!!
My quote is..... "If you stare into the Abyss long enough, the Abyss stares back at you"Friedrich Nietzsche 'Nuff said !!!
Happy Monday Peeps, Today at SMUDGY ANTICS your Challenge is 'Layers' and I don't mean tons of clothing because of the cold. !!! Hopefully Spring is coming where you are and things will soon be getting much nicer :-) I love doing Decoupage and 3D work, so this week I decided to go with quite a complicated image to do that with. I have used 'Valkyries' from Smeared Ink. I have used Copics this time to colour them up. Then I printed them 5 times and then cut out the parts I wanted to make it 3D. Then I layered it up on co-ordinating cardstock. I distressed the edges and added some flowers I made with my new Marianne Creatables dies.
I hope you will come over and see what my DT sisters have produced to tempt you with and leave them some love AND join in with us this week. We are a dark/edgy/Gothic site so why not let your darker side peek out a little :-D Your project can be anything - card, scrap page, mixed media but it must contain at least 1 stamped image (digi, rubber or clear). The Rules are on the left sidebar. See you there ???? xxx
Today I got 2 DT projects done really early, so I thought I would have a little play in some Challenges. :-) Since one of my DT projects tomorrow is VERY scary, I thought I'd give you a little sweetness today :-) I browsed through my vast digi collection and have decided to use some of STITCHYBEAR STAMPS. I have chosen KK-Rylee Flower and have coloured her digitally. My backing papers are also from StitchyBear from the PDB Sweet Things paper set. I followed a sketch from Eat, Sleep, Stamp, but I flipped mine sideways.
Hello again Peeps, Here is my creation for this week's Challenge 9 over at SIMPLY CREATE TOO. The theme is SPRING, so I've gone all yellow and floral on you.
This card has a fold back side. I used some daisy vellum with cream and yellow cardstock. Very simple with punched edges and flowers using Martha Stewart products. This was an order for a friend to send to her 'MaM' :-D I hope you will come over to Simply Create Too and leave some love for my fellow DTs gorgeous creations :-D xxx
Hello there, Today is a new Challenge over at DELICIOUS DOODLES and the theme is 'The Wonder of Life'. Now, you can interpret that which ever way you like. I chose to go with a Spring feeling and have used Butterfly Bliss from Delicious Doodles. I followed a sketch I found on Feline Playful and I'm not so sure it works !! It should do since all the papers are from the same set, but something seems a little off. !! Hey-Ho .. here she is anyway..
So, why not come over to Delicious Doodles and play along this week and see all the awesome creations my fellow DTs have made. Don't forget to leave them a little love :-) . See you there. xxx
Hello and a very happy Thursday to You. Welcome to the MARCH SMEARED & SMUDGED MEMBERS' BLOG HOP. Hopefully you will have arrived here from JANE'S awesome blog, but if not - don't worry.. I have the full list down under so you can start from the beginning if you like :-D. The Theme this month is MIXED MEDIA MASH-UPand this can be in any shape or form we'd like.... a canvas, card, scrap page, ATC, fat book etc... anything that takes our fancy really. Now, I am well out of my comfort zone with this sort of thing, so I hope you will forgive my puny effort. I don't possess any Smeared Ink rubber stamps, so I had to mess withtheir trade mark instead :-) My skullies are die-cuts. I also used glue varnish on the lettering but you can't really see that. I stuck googly eyes on the other skullies (this was a stamp I got in a goodie bag for Halloween, so I don't know Who that is by ) The background is a mixture of Stazon inks and acrylic paints. I put some Stickles on there too in the flowery/wavy bits which looks cool in real life. :-D My white pen I bought yesterday exploded on me so I had to paint the white bits with a fine brush and got sooooo bored, that's why there's not much hahahaha LoL Anyhow - it looks jolly colourful, so I am sort of pleased with what came out.
If you fancy having a go at Mixed Media and you are stuck for ideas, then why not pop over to Smeared & Smudged Forum and you could join the Mixed Media University. We have loads of other fab stuff going on too and it's a really fun Group. :-) I hope now you will hop on over to DIANNE and she what awesome treat she has in store for you. Here's the full list :-)
Today I fancied doing a cutesy card - don't ask me why.... guess it must be my cold !! :-) LoL I played around with a selection of DI's DIGI DOWNLOADS that I have - colouring them digitally and then using one of her Background images to make the actual double Z card. These shape cards are very difficult to photograph but I think you get the idea. :-)
Recipe: Di's Digis - Cottage Background, Bunch of Love, For Kitty, & Content Kitty. 160 grm pure White cardstock PSE9
Happy Monday Everyone, Today over at Smudgy Antics, our Challenge is to 'Alter Something'. I have made a clock from an old CD. I used Simply Steampunk 3 from Crafty Chaos Designs for my background and I have multiple images of 'SHEGRUMP' from Smeared Ink to represent the hours. I glued it on the CD and gave it a couple of coats of matt varnish to protect it.
I am also going to enter this into the March GDT Challenge over at Smeared & Smudged Forum. Our Guest DT this month is Kathi Rerek and she has challenged us to produce something steampunk/green/critters and recycling :-D No pressure there then LoL. I think this will do quite nicely. :-D I hope you will pop over and play with us at Smudgy Antics and Smeared & Smudged. We have a fun Forum and we'd love to see you any time. xxx
Welcome to another Macabre Monday over at Haunted Design House. This week our Challenge is EVIL EMPIRE, and we were tasked to create a project inspired by a Disney villain. Well, I've had such a sh*tty, snotty cold this last few days and sloped off to my sick bed. So, I felt distinctly un-inspired and was actually late with my project. !!! It is not decidedly evil either, but everyone crashes and burns sometimes right ?!!
Hello Peeps, This time over at QUOTH THE RAVEN, our Challenge is themed with POE's tale of Premature Burial. How awful would that be - to wake up and find yourself in your own grave. While the modern usage of the verb "wake" is "become or stay alert" meaning, a "wake" for the dead harks back to the antiquated "watch" or "guard" sense. This is contrary to the urban legend that people at a wake are waiting in case the deceased should "wake up." Anyways, sometimes people had a little bell rigged up to their toe or hand, so that if they should wake up inside the coffin, they could ring it for assistance. Here is my offering for this challenge:
The two digital images are from the Build A Graveyard Set by Smeared Ink. I coloured my hand digi in PSE9. The cross and gravestone images were 'paper pieced' onto a photos of marble and alabaster. If you want to read the work by POE, then go HERE I hope you will come over to Quoth The Raven to see what my fellow Supplicants to the Master have created for you. :-)
Hello Peeps, Today I am going to play again at DRAGON's DREAM TIO 110 ALICE - Wonderland or Looking Glass. Now you know that Tags is my new 'thing' so I am still experimenting here :-) Maybe even ATCs next - who knows ??? Anyhoo - here is my entry...
I used a 6" x 3" tag as my base. The keyhole is from my friend Linda at Scrapcat Cards - I bought several die cuts from her shop 'cos she has a Cricut and I don't :-) I distressed the edge a bit to make it stand out and added a tiny googly eye in the hole (don't ask me why - I kinda' thought it worked !!!) The playing card is from my stash. The mad hare is 'borrowed' from the Web. The Cat and Alice are both my new digis. I did them a couple of weeks ago but hadn't coloured them up to use yet. I'm still fiddling with them a bit before I put them in my Shop. The images were decoupaged for 3D effect and stuck with silicone. My 'real' stamp is my butterfly - he's the caterpillar, but he's grown up and buggered off !! A little stamp I had for years.... just distressed a bit with green + brown.
I think I may have got the angle of the playing card a bit wrong but I'm still practicing a bit here :-D !!!
Hello Peeps, Now, this week at SMUDGY ANTICS our Challenge is 'Anything Goes'... that surely is no excuse for you not to play eh ?!!! Yep, anything goes as long as your project contains at least one stamped image (rubber, clear, or digital) and follows the rules posted in the left sidebar. You do not have to make a card. We also accept altered items, art journal pages, mixed media pieces, etc. If you do not follow the rules, one of which is to be a follower of the Smudgy Antics blog, your project will not count towards the prize drawing and may be deleted. The Prize is a single Digi image from Smeared Ink. How cool is that ?
This week I have made a bangle for you to see ....
I made it using a section of cardboard tube which I then wound covered with black ribbon. Then I added some silky roses all round. The bat is from Smeared Ink's - Little Bit Batty set .
I printed him out 6 times and then fussy cut him. I layered him up with silicone and each layer was liberally coated with UTEE.
I hope you will come over and play with us this week. :-D xx
Hi and welcome to Challenge HDH123 on Macabre Monday at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE. This week we are sponsored by the amazing DILLY BEANS and our theme is 'Terrible Twos'. Your challenge this week is to use 2 of the same image in your creation. I was lucky to be given Alice in Wonderland to work with, and this is what I did with her.
I coloured them both digitally to make 'opposites'. My backgrounds and the caterpillar were 'borrowed' from the Web. I printed everything twice and then tore the two side sections away and re-glued them so that the white 'tearing' showed... to signify the 'rift'. Then I cut out my 3 main characters and stuck them on the background using silicone glue for added depth. Sentiment balloons I made in my graphics programme.
Our Prize this week is..... 3 Dilly Beans images of your choice.... how cool is that ?!! I hope you will come over and play and also look at what my amazing Minion sistahs have to show you xxxxx
Challenges I am entering: Just Us Girls No.126 Sketch Challenge The Altered Alice - Best Butter -I've got a fair bit of yellow on the 'pretty' side :-D

Hello Peeps and Happy Friday, Today at DELICIOUS DOODLES our Challenge this fortnight is called "Music to Soothe the Soul", and your task is to make a creation inspired by a song. It could be your favourite song, something that was important at a certain part of your life, a lullaby your Mum sang to you... any song you like, but your creation must reflect that.
I have used two images for my card - Gravestone Scene & The Grim Reaperboth of which are by Delicious Doodles. My music/rose background is from Marie Johnstone from a CD I purchased in 2005 !!!! I can't seem to locate her anywhere on the Web, so there's no link - sorry :-( The Keyboard Frame I got yesterday and is a free download from Free Craft Downloads.
My Song, of course, is "Don't Fear The Reaper" by the Blue Oyster Cult. :-D I hope you will come over and see the delicious creations my fellow DT sisters have created for your inspiration and that you can join in with us for this Fab challenge. :-D xxx
